Below Knee Prosthetics are for patients who have undergone below knee amputation. The below knee prosthetics include an acrylic laminated socket, pylon and foot/ankle and utilize a liner to keep them on. Suspension options often come in the form of a pin, sleeve, or suction but other options are available as well. See below for some of our widely used suspension methods. There are many different components available on the market and we provide our patients with the best components for their functionality. Once a patient’s prosthesis is fitting well and is optimally aligned, a cosmetic foam cover and skin may be added to the device to make it more cosmetically appealing.
